Bertelsmann Transformation Index (BTI)贝塔斯曼转型指数 (BTI)

The Bertelsmann Transformation Index (BTI) evaluates the quality of democracy, market economy, and governance in 137 developing and transition countries every two years since 2006. Two composite indices — the Status Index and the Governance Index — are constructed from expert assessments across political transformation, economic transformation, and governance performance.

Each country receives a 1–10 score on Democracy Status, Market Economy Status, and overall Governance, making BTI one of the most comprehensive tools for monitoring democratic and economic reform trajectories.
