Fragile States Index (FSI)脆弱国家指数 (FSI)

The Fragile States Index (FSI) is an annual ranking of 179 countries based on their levels of stability and the pressures they face. Produced by The Fund for Peace, the index uses a conflict assessment framework (CAST) to measure state fragility across 12 key indicators grouped into four categories: Cohesion (C1–C3), Economic (E1–E3), Political (P1–P3), and Social (S1–S2), plus a Cross-Cutting indicator (X1). Each indicator is scored on a 0–10 scale, yielding a total score from 0 (most stable) to 120 (most fragile).

The FSI draws on content analysis of millions of documents, quantitative data, and expert review. It is widely used by governments, international organizations, and researchers to identify conflict risk, track fragility trends, and inform early-warning systems.
