The Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) project provides multidimensional and disaggregated measures of democracy. Its corruption indices capture different forms of corruption — executive bribery, public sector corruption, judicial corruption, and media corruption — across 202 countries from 1789 to the present.

The overall corruption index (v2x_corr) aggregates executive and public sector corruption on a 0–1 scale (higher = more corruption). Judicial and media corruption are provided as raw interval-scale indicators. V-Dem is the leading source for nuanced corruption measurement in comparative politics.
