Arab Barometer (Waves II–VIII, country-level aggregates)阿拉伯晴雨表（第 2–8 波，国家层面聚合）

Arab Barometer is the longest-running public opinion survey in the Middle East and North Africa, running since 2006. This dataset aggregates the English release files of Waves II through VIII to the country level: one row is one country in one survey year, and each indicator is a weighted country average using the wave's own sampling weights.

Five items asked in comparable form across waves are hosted: the perceived level of democracy in the respondent's own country and how suitable democracy is for it (both 0–10 means), agreement that democracy is better than any other system, whether corruption in state institutions is seen as widespread, and trust in the government. Cells are empty for waves that did not field the item — Wave VII dropped the 0–10 democracy scales, and the corruption item only takes its current four-point form from Wave IV onward.

Waves III and VI–VIII carry interview dates, so their year is the modal interview year per country. Waves II, IV and V do not, so their year is the first year of the official fieldwork period, with the full period kept in the fieldwork column. Wave I is delivered as a raw file but not aggregated: it has neither interview dates nor sampling weights.

此处托管各波口径可比的 5 个题目：本国民主程度与民主对本国的适合程度（均为 0–10 分加权均值）、认同"民主虽有问题但优于其他制度"的比例、认为国家机构存在较严重腐败的比例，以及对政府的信任度。某波未问该题的留空——第 7 波没有 0–10 民主量表，腐败题从第 4 波起才改成现在的四点量表。

第 3 波与第 6–8 波的数据文件带访问日期，年份取该国的众数访问年；第 2、4、5 波没有日期变量，年份取官方公布实地区间的起始年，完整区间保留在 fieldwork 列，避免当成精确年份使用。第 1 波随交付保留原始文件但未纳入聚合：该波既无访问日期也无抽样权重。
