The COW IGO v3.0 release records membership in 534 intergovernmental organizations. The official release includes IGO-year, state-year, and dyad-year products; the preserved state-year matrix supplies the network relationships used here. Each hosted row is one historical state-IGO pair observed in the 1816-2014 state-membership source. It retains the specific organization identity and reports the first and last active years, actual numbers of full, associate, and observer membership years, total active years, and membership spell count. first_year and last_year are boundaries only: years_total counts actual active state-IGO-years, and spell_count reveals gaps or status transitions. The network represents historical membership over the full source period, not membership active in any single year.
