COW War & Militarized Interstate Disputes (Dyadic MID)COW 国家间战争与军事化国家间争端（双边 MID）

This hosted dataset prepares the Correlates of War dyadic Militarized Interstate Disputes data for interactive network visualization. Each row is an initiator-to-target dyad-year for a militarized dispute between states, covering the included file's 1816-2014 span. The original dyadic MID file is directed and lists both orientations of each dyad; this hosted version keeps the dyad-role orientation from source to target to avoid double-counting in the network.

The table retains dispute identifiers, COW state codes, year, hostility level, severity, war flag, fatality level, outcome, settlement, and selected battle-death fields merged from the compatible directed dyadic interstate war file. Higher severity indicates more intense militarized confrontation, with interstate war coded at the top of the scale.

本数据集将 Correlates of War 的双边军事化国家间争端数据整理为可视化平台可读取的双边网络格式。每一行代表某一年中一个“发起/施压方 -> 目标方”的国家双边争端观测，原始文件覆盖 1816-2014 年。原始 dyadic MID 文件会为同一双边关系列出正反两个方向；本清洗版本保留 dyad role 中的发起方到目标方方向，以避免网络图和配对表重复计数。

清洗后的表保留争端编号、COW 国家代码、年份、敌对程度、严重度、是否升级为国家间战争、死亡等级、结局、解决方式，并从兼容的 directed dyadic interstate war 文件补充战争编号与战斗死亡数。严重度越高表示军事化对抗越强，国家间战争位于该尺度的最高端。
