The New Industrial Policy Observatory records government interventions coded as industrial policy — subsidies, tax breaks, loans, export controls, localisation requirements, procurement measures and more — drawn from the Global Trade Alert database. Each event is one measure (Intervention ID), tagged with the implementing jurisdiction, intervention type, MAST chapter, inception date and GTA evaluation (harmful / liberalising). Announced measures can carry scheduled future inception dates, so the timeline may extend beyond the access year.

It is a leading source for tracking the direction and intensity of industrial policy and the risk of industrial-policy reversals.
