ITERATE — International Terrorism: Attributes of Terrorist EventsITERATE —
Overview
ITERATE is a long-running dataset of transnational terrorist incidents from 1968 onward, compiled by Edward Mickolus and colleagues. Each incident records the date, location, attack and weapon type, perpetrators, victims, and casualties, with hostage/kidnapping negotiations and outcomes coded in companion files. It emphasises the international dimension of terrorism (cross-border actors or foreign victims) and is widely used alongside the GTD.
This entry is published as a LINKED card rather than a hosted dataset: the ITERATE quantitative files are distributed under Harvard Dataverse restricted-access terms and are not redistributable, so we link to the original source instead of hosting a copy.
