The OECD Environmental Policy Stringency (EPS) index measures the degree to which environmental policies price, regulate or otherwise discourage pollution and environmentally harmful behaviour. This complete country-year panel covers 40 countries from 1990 to 2020 on a 0–6 scale and includes the overall EPS index, three sub-indices and all 13 policy instruments.
