The PITF State Failure Problem Set records four types of instability: revolutionary wars, ethnic wars, adverse regime changes, and genocides/politicides. Each row is one official case-year from one of the four separate 2018 spreadsheets; episode start/end dates remain attached to every annual record. The files extend through 2018 and are suited to studying the timing, duration, and overlap of severe internal conflict and governance crises. Redistribution or reproduction permission may be required; that risk is recorded separately from the completed technical workflow.
