Regan's Interventions in Civil Wars (ICW) data record third-party interventions into intrastate conflicts and are used to study how outside involvement affects the duration of civil wars. This release is the replication file for Regan (2002, Journal of Conflict Resolution).

The raw file is a conflict-month panel built for duration analysis; the rows published here are the 1,038 conflict-months that actually carry an intervention. Each row is one intervention act: an intervener (state or international organization) directed at the state hosting the civil war, with the month and usually the day of the intervention, whether it was aimed at the government, the opposition or neither, whether force was used, and the concrete form the intervention took - troops, navy, equipment, intelligence or air force on the military side; grants, loans, aid, credit, relief or sanctions on the economic side. Conflict-level context (identity dimension of the conflict, total fatalities, Cold War period) is carried alongside.

The same intervener can appear more than once on the same date in the same conflict, because each form of intervention is coded separately. This replication file codes only military and economic interventions; it contains no diplomatic intervention variable.

原始文件是为生存分析构造的“冲突—月”面板，此处发布的是其中真正承载干预行为的 1,038 条记录。每行是一次干预：干预方（国家或国际组织）→ 内战所在国，含干预发生的年月（多数还有具体日期）、干预指向（政府 / 反对派 / 中立）、是否使用武力，以及干预的具体形式——军事类为部队、海军、装备物资、情报、空军；经济类为赠款、贷款、援助、信贷、救济、制裁。另附冲突层面的背景变量（冲突的身份维度、累计死亡人数、是否处于冷战期）。

同一干预方在同一冲突、同一日期可能出现多行，因为每种干预形式单独编码。该复制数据只编码军事与经济两类干预，不含外交干预变量。
