Voteview provides member-level biographical and NOMINATE ideology estimates for the US Congress. This extract aggregates House and Senate members to one United States observation per two-year Congress, from the 1st Congress onward. President rows in the source export are excluded because they are not members of Congress.

The mean NOMINATE first dimension is commonly interpreted as economic liberalism-conservatism. Party distance is the absolute difference between Democratic (party code 100) and Republican (party code 200) mean first-dimension scores, shown only when both parties have at least five members with estimates.

Voteview 提供美国国会议员层级的履历信息与 NOMINATE 意识形态估计。本提取将众议院和参议院议员汇总为每届国会一行的美国面板；每届国会通常为两年，自第一届国会起覆盖至今。原始导出中的总统记录不属于国会议员，故已剔除。
