Country-year counts of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) and Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) notifications submitted by WTO members, 1995–2026, from the WTO I-TIP portal. Each observation is a notifying member in a year, with the number of SPS notifications, TBT notifications, and their total.

SPS/TBT notifications are the main channel through which members signal new technical regulations and standards, so rising counts flag tightening non-tariff / technical-barrier pressure and market-access risk. (The anti-dumping and safeguards extracts in this source were undated measure summaries and are not part of this temporal panel.)
